We focus on implementing measures that directly contribute to business and improving UI/UX from the customer's perspective. In addition, we are also working bottom-up to improve quality through refactoring, including the application of MVVM-based architecture to increase productivity, and to improve processes with an awareness of DevOps.

The main responsibilities of this position are as follows
Refactoring and process improvement for high quality and easy-to-maintain Android applications
Developing new features and optimizing UI/UX while communicating with engineering managers
Propose and implement measures that take advantage of the Android platform
Ongoing code review for bug fixes and performance improvement
∙ Measures to improve software quality (refactoring, unit test implementation, etc.)

Career Path
First, we expect you to work as an Android app engineer for our company, implementing measures and fixing bugs.
In the future, you may choose to become a tech lead, engineering manager, or iOS engineer, depending on your career aspirations. In the past, we have had Android engineers transfer to our iOS and Web development teams.

Our company provides home delivery of carefully selected food ingredients and meal kits using a subscription-based business model based on the theme of solving social issues related to food through technology and business. We are unique in that we are involved in all aspects of inventory management, delivery and logistics, and e-commerce sites to connect producers and buyers.
Our flagship service has been in operation for over 20 years and is used by approximately 400,000 customers.
We are looking for people who are willing to work with us to create new value and eliminate technical debt in order to deliver an even better shopping experience to our customers.

Android app development for a business that boasts sales of 60 billion yen.
We are developing both web and native (iOS and Android) versions of our service, of which the Android app was released in 2017 and currently boasts annual sales of several billion yen*. We are also actively working on eliminating technical debt, unifying to MVVM architecture and replacing Android View with Jetpack Compose. We also need to move forward with the nativization of screens that have been developed mainly with WebView, and we will continue to focus on development from the customer's perspective.

Team Structure
The team structure has been renewed in line with the reorganization aimed at strengthening cooperation with the business side, and we are in the process of building a new team as well.
The mobile engineering team includes an engineering manager, an Android engineer, and an iOS engineer, who work together with technical advisors and other outsourced staff to share their knowledge with each other.
We work mainly remotely, and although we communicate synchronously during daily lunch meetings, most of our work is asynchronous, using text communication. Some of us have days when we come into the office to work.
The Android team includes a technical advisor and other senior-level engineers, and you can learn a lot from daily code reviews and other activities.
