1．Generative AI as an "Intellectual Assistant," Mathematical Optimization as a "Rigorous Decision-Making Technology"
Generative AI automates human thinking based on probability and statistics. In contrast, mathematical optimization uses deterministic mathematics to rigorously guide real-world decision-making where errors are not permitted. Experts in deterministic mathematics are relatively scarce, limited to numerical analysis and specific engineering fields, requiring high theoretical rigor and modeling capabilities. By directly improving core decision-making, this field generates immense economic value.

2．Economic Effects of Hundreds of Millions of Yen from a Single Optimization
Our target is social infrastructure. By using mathematical optimization AI for complex planning tasks involving too many factors for humans to handle, we convert major capital investments, fuel costs, and maintenance costs into economic benefits on the scale of hundreds of millions of yen.


[Recruitment Background]
We are a Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth-listed technology company innovating planning operations for critical social infrastructure (such as power supply/demand, logistics networks, and railway networks) using "AI x Mathematical Optimization" as our core technology.

While our optimization engines are currently operational across many industrial sites, the realization of carbon neutrality and increasingly complex supply chains have brought us face-to-face with the challenge of "combinatorial explosion," where calculation times increase exponentially using conventional classical computers alone. To break through this global "limit of computing resources" and build a next-generation optimization foundation, we are strengthening our structure to advance the practical implementation phase of quantum computing at the fastest speed.

At our company, we are accelerating initiatives to bring quantum technology, including quantum computing, down to a "practically usable level" and integrate it into products and actual client projects. Rather than limiting quantum technology to optimization, this position applies it to machine learning, as well as evaluation and simulation under uncertainty, carrying an extremely challenging role that spans from Proof of Concept (PoC) to actual operations.


[Position Highlights]
Mission: Designing the shortest path for the "social implementation" of quantum technology
Establishing quantum computing technology under the assumption of practical constraints (calculation time, accuracy, cost, reproducibility, and operability), and formulating and driving the technical roadmap from PoC to actual operations. In collaboration with mathematical optimization engineers, your responsibility is to deliver value in the shortest time by embedding quantum technology "where it is needed, in the form it is needed" from options that include classical computing, approximation, and surrogate methods.


[Job Overview]
Quantum Algorithm Implementation and Verification
・Implementing and verifying quantum circuits, quantum algorithms, and quantum simulations.
Use Case Development (Optimization, Machine Learning, and Evaluation Under Uncertainty)
・Formulating hypothesis formulations for applying quantum technology to social infrastructure challenges, and driving PoC design (metrics, comparison targets, statistical evaluation, and ensuring reproducibility).
Assignment to Actual Client Projects
・Evaluating and verifying the applicability of hybrid (quantum + classical) algorithms in client projects in cooperation with mathematical optimization engineers.
Social Implementation of Cutting-Edge Technologies
・Optimizing state-of-the-art paper knowledge within operational constraints (cost, calculation time, and accuracy) and reflecting it into products.

Required Skills and Experiences

Working Condition

[Employment Type]
Permanent employee  Probation period: 6 months

[Expected Annual Salary] *Subject to adjustment based on experience, skills, and capabilities.
Annual Salary: 6,000,000 JPY to 12,000,000 JPY
・Theoretical Annual Salary = Monthly fixed salary (Base salary + Special work allowance) x 12 months + Bonus
・Special work allowance: Overtime premium allowance for 42 hours of overtime
・Bonus: Standard payment of 1 month of base salary, with the actual amount determined based on performance and evaluation, paid twice a year (February and August)
