Job Description

[Business Overview]
As the Japanese subsidiary of MA-tek, a major Taiwanese analysis company, the company provides material analysis and evaluation services for major semiconductor and automotive manufacturers, the battery sector, universities, and research institutions.
Leveraging top-tier technical capabilities and a large facility equipped with multiple expensive electron microscopes (such as TEM), the company responds not only to contract analysis (MA) but also to customer requests for equipment rental and witnessed observation.

[Recruitment Background]
In addition to the steady expansion of the contract analysis (MA) business, additional hiring of engineers to serve as the core of projects to launch a new, higher value-added Failure Analysis (FA) business.

[Job Overview]
Responsible for identifying root causes of defects and failures in ICs and electronic components through Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) and Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) on customer products.

[Key Responsibilities]
・Identification of root causes of IC/component failures through PFA/EFA analysis on customer products
・Execution of pre-treatment operations such as chemical etching and physical polishing of samples, as well as high-order electrical characteristic measurements and location identification analysis

・Positioning in the Group: Functioning as the Japan base of Taiwan's major MA-tek, dedicated to receiving contracts and performing analysis for major domestic semiconductor and automotive manufacturers

・Abundance of electron microscope equipment including FIB/TEM
Possession of multiple high-cost analysis and observation devices such as FIB (Focused Ion Beam) and TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope). Involvement in operations backed by high equipment and technical levels, such as communicating directly with engineers from major automotive and semiconductor manufacturers, and conducting nano-level observation and analysis through equipment rental and witnessed observation, in addition to contract analysis tasks.

・Participation in high value-added Failure Analysis (FA) and new laboratory launch
In addition to expanding market share in the contract analysis (MA) domain centered on structural observation and film thickness measurement, focus is placed on the Failure Analysis (FA) domain requiring higher-level skills and the stabilization of the newly established laboratory. Opportunities to acquire higher-dimensional expertise as an engineer, ranging from pre-treatment technology to microscope observation and analysis data consideration.

Required Skills and Experiences

[Mandatory Requirements] Candidates who meet any of the following requirements: ・Graduation from a science or engineering faculty/department ・Manual work or equipment operation experience in manufacturing or related industries [Preferred Requirements] ・Experience in semiconductor processes and semiconductor failure analysis ・Hands-on experience with Delayer, SEM, FIB, or Nanoprobe ・Business-level communication skills in Chinese in addition to Japanese

Working Condition

[Employment Type]
Contract employee (Probation period: 6 months, Renewal available)

・Overtime: Approximately 10 to 30 hours per month

[Expected Annual Salary]
・Annual Salary: 3,520,000 JPY - 4,480,000 JPY (Monthly Salary: 220,000 JPY - 280,000 JPY)

・Bonus: Twice a year, expected equivalent to 4 months (Determined based on company and individual performance)
