Job Description

We are looking for engineers to work on the development of video delivery services.
The development team is divided into several scrums (teams) according to expertise, but for this position, rather than limiting the type of work at the entrance, the team to which the applicant will be assigned will be decided by matching the applicant's wishes with our company's demand.

We are a pioneer of SVOD (subscription video on demand) services in Japan, having launched our service in 2007. In the fast-growing SVOD market in Japan, we have the third largest market share (in terms of value, by 2021, according to GEM Partners) after Netflix and Amazon. We have established an unassailable No. 1 position as a Japanese company and continue to achieve both profitability and growth.
Another of our strengths is our commitment to in-house development. In order to keep up with the rapid changes in online streaming and other related technologies, and to continue to create services that are truly user-friendly, we have built a system that allows us to control all development processes in-house. The usability of our services has also been highly evaluated by users, with our iOS application receiving a 4.6 (5.0 perfect score) and our Android application a 4.1 (5.0 perfect score).

Required Skills and Experiences

【Required】・3+ years of professional work experience as a software engineer ・Sympathy for the Agile Software Development Manifesto and willingness to put it into practice ・Empathy and willingness to practice the three pillars (transparency, inspection, and adaptation) that make Scrum theory possible ・Experience in development with Unity, C#, WebGL, WebXR, JavaScript, etc. ・English Business Level, Japanese N1 【Ideal Applicants】・Ability to enjoy and continue to learn ・Experience in development and operation of services, products and applications with large scale users ・Experience in developing, publishing, and operating apps and services planned by the applicant ・Contribution to open source projects ・English language skills, especially the ability to read and comprehend English texts
