Job Description

Our in-house product, which was launched in 2022, uses machine learning and other technologies to structure drawing data, which is said to be the most important data in the manufacturing industry, and link it to a variety of information, enabling it to be utilized as an information asset. This is already being used by major manufacturers and processing companies in Japan, and from 2023 by customers overseas (in the United States, Thailand, and Vietnam).

In the future, the company aims to realize overall optimization that transcends divisions and companies by using technology to reproduce and consolidate manufacturing knowledge beyond drawings. The company also aims to further accelerate its global expansion while providing excellent value to overseas customers. Therefore, the company is looking for a product manager who can communicate with internal and external stakeholders to clarify the needs specific to regions such as the US.

As for development, there are many themes that the company would like to address, such as enhancing its functionality as a data platform, developing multiple new applications that run on the platform, and strengthening the infrastructure to withstand the dramatically increasing number of users and volume of data. Along with these, the company is also working to grow its development organization with non-Japanese-speaking engineers. Therefore, the company is in need of a product manager who can promote product development in English with engineers in Vietnam and Japan.

The use of drawings differs depending on the person who handles them (the way to interact with drawings and the motives for looking at them differ depending on the position, such as manufacturer/supplier, design/procurement/sales, etc.), so a strong understanding of each persona is required.
Overall design of what kind of experience to provide to users and how to increase the value of “utilization of drawings,” including peripheral areas, in the process of creating growth as a product.

【Responsibilities】
You will be responsible for product management of the manufacturing AI data platform and related products. This is a position where you will be responsible for service design, customer interviews, and project management from a wide range of perspectives, including business, operations, and development. The mission of this position is to maximize the value of the product by collaborating with stakeholders and related parties and maximizing the capabilities of the development and operations teams to lead to behavioral changes in the customer. In addition to new product launches and continuous improvement activities, the company is also developing several projects simultaneously, and you will be required to properly manage the product roadmap and product backlog, taking into account the status of these projects, and put them into action.
・Planning, formulation, and execution of product strategy and product roadmap - Construction, optimization, and automation of internal operations for scale
・Planning and execution of various qualitative and quantitative research (user surveys, log analysis, inquiry analysis, etc.)
・Business plan formulation and execution, development management - Product quality management
・In this position, the candidate must be able to perform the above in both English and Japanese.

Required Skills and Experiences
