Job Description

■Responsibilities
[Technical Leadership]
・Lead the analysis and definition of software requirements tailored to customer-specific amplifier features.
・Design application software architectures, ensuring scalability, reusability, and strategic alignment with product line roadmaps.
・Review system and software architecture documentation, while mentoring and supporting internal development teams in design implementation.
・Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on automotive LAN communication specifications, including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.

[Customer Interaction & Cross-Functional Collaboration]
・Drive technical discussions with OEM customers and internal cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, assess technical feasibility, and propose robust architectural solutions.
・Evaluate amplifier performance and functional feasibility during the conceptual proof-of-concept design stages.
・Author, maintain, and present customer requirement specifications and related technical documentation.

[Software Development & Code Quality]
・Lead and participate in C/C++ coding, peer code reviews, and architectural design reviews in strict alignment with the company's coding standards and software engineering processes.
・Mentor and guide junior engineers in industry best practices for robust coding, debugging, and software documentation.

[Testing & Systems Integration]
・Plan, execute, and review software verification activities at both the unit level and the overall amplifier system level.
・Lead vehicle-level integration testing in direct collaboration with OEM customers, driving early issue detection and swift resolution.
・Author and maintain comprehensive test procedures, evaluation reports, and structured issue-tracking documentation.

[Debugging & Sustaining Engineering]
・Perform complex debugging of amplifier software, including in-depth root cause analysis for multi-faceted issues intersecting software, hardware, and in-vehicle network interfaces.
・Conduct detailed functional evaluations of software systems and drive continuous engineering improvements across product lifecycles.

[Process Improvement & Quality Assurance]
・Drive Software Process Improvement initiatives to elevate software quality, optimize development efficiency, and ensure architectural alignment.
・Support the continuous evolution of the company's core product-line framework to empower future generations of automotive amplifier programs.

[Project Leadership (Preferred / Optional Qualification)]
・Assist in project planning, development schedule management, and proactive risk mitigation.
・Lead small-to-medium technical workstreams or dedicated software sub-projects.

Required Skills and Experiences

■Required ・Solid programming experience in C/C++ ・Excellent documentation and writing skills (particularly for customer requirement specifications and software design documents) ・Sufficient knowledge to interpret circuit diagrams and datasheets for peripheral components ・Experience with embedded RTOS such as Vector OSEK/VDX and AUTOSAR ・Experience in CAN communication software development ・Experience in static and dynamic code analysis ・Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Subversion), bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and peer reviews ・Experience using basic test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, protocol loggers, function generators, multimeters, etc.) ・Experience contributing to all phases of the software lifecycle, from requirements analysis, design, and implementation to testing, debugging, maintenance, and support ・Excellent interpersonal skills ・Ability to communicate in both English and Japanese ・Excellent time management skills ・Proactive and able to work independently ■Language Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English is required.
