Job Description

■Recruitment Background
We will be listed on the TSE Growth Market on October 28, 2022, and the number of inquiries from our customers is increasing year by year. We are expanding our development organization for further business expansion.
In most cases, AI-related development projects are ultimately delivered as web systems that can be operated by users, and opportunities for web engineers are expanding rapidly.

■Job Description
＜Responsibilities＞
As a project manager (PM) and lead engineer, you will be assigned to a contracted development project with 2 to 5 members and a development period of 3 to 6 months, and you will be responsible for the following tasks
・Define requirements for deliverables
・Basic and detailed design
・Technology selection
・Project planning and progress management
・Implementation (100% in-house development)
・Reporting to clients (together with sales staff)

The sales representative in charge of the project will participate in each project as an account manager, acting as a bridge between the client and our development team to help the project proceed smoothly.
For those who do not have any experience, we will first have you participate in a project as a member, and eventually you will be entrusted as a PM and lead engineer, including member support!

＜Characteristics of pluszero's contracted business＞
Some people may have a negative image of contracted development, such as "no matter how hard I work, the salary doesn't increase" or "the burnout rate is high," but we operate our business with a clear distinction from the above situation for two reasons.
The first reason is that we are able to accept many high-difficulty x high-unit-price projects. We receive orders at relatively high unit prices for projects in fields that require a wide range of technologies and have few competitors due to their high degree of difficulty, such as web system development with AI engines for image recognition, OCR, and natural language processing, new development of products with complex functions, enhancement and data analysis using mathematical models, etc. The second reason is that our projects are high-risk.
The second reason is that we do not take on high-risk projects, or we eliminate risk in advance before starting development. When we receive orders for projects, our sales staff and CTO closely examine the man-hour estimates and risks of the project, and we only accept orders based on contracts that we believe are reasonable.
As a result, we have been able to keep the average overtime hours of our in-house engineers to a low level of 5 hours/month in the last fiscal year.

＜Even PMs can continue to write code＞
In general, PMs at most companies are mainly engaged in administrative tasks and rarely write code.
Therefore, our PMs are not only in charge of QCD management of the overall project, but also lead the project from the technical side by selecting and implementing technologies as lead engineers.
Through this work, PMs can acquire both management and programming skills, and we believe that they can increase their market value as a bridge between business and engineering.

＜What you will gain from this job＞
・You will have many opportunities to be involved from the requirement definition and technology selection phases, so you can gain a wide range of experience from upstream to downstream of the development process.
・We do not develop according to a fixed framework, but have the freedom to select the best technology for each project.
・We undertake a variety of projects, mainly web-based development, but also AI development, hardware development, etc., so you will be able to experience a variety of technologies.

■Development environment
・Main languages: TypeScript (JavaScript), python, PHP, Rust, C++
・Major databases: Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
・Frameworks：Nest.js, React, React Native, vue.js, Laravel
・Server OS：Linux

＜Development Features＞
We are accumulating know-how in-house because all development after receiving an order is done by our in-house engineers. This is one of the reasons why we insist on 100% in-house development.

■Working Environment
・Remote work system (80% of our employees work remotely)
・Introduction of flextime system
・Provision of Claude Max and GitHub Copilot accounts
・Subsidy for purchasing technical books
・Subsidies for acquisition of qualifications
・In-house study sessions held
・Concurrent/secondary jobs OK
・Free dress code

＜You can adjust your own work style and pace of growth.＞
The choice of whether to come to the office or work remotely is left up to each individual, so you can realize the work style best suited to you. Even now, about 80% of our employees work fully remotely.
In addition, the average overtime hours for engineers in the company in the last fiscal year was 5 hours/month, with almost no overtime work.
Even if overtime work is required, the hourly rate of pay does not decrease as you work more because we have adopted a system in which the salary increases as the number of hours you work increases.
The volume of assignments will be adjusted according to your own declaration, so if you are willing to work some overtime (as long as it does not violate the law) and want to gain more development experience, such assignments are also available.

Required Skills and Experiences

■Required: Development Skills ・Web development experience (Any of: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, or C++) ■Preferred ・Experience in implementation using TypeScript (JavaScript) and AWS ・Experience in development of outsourced projects ・Experience in member management ・Experience in customer negotiation
