■Company Overview
With the establishment of our new subsidiary, we plan to fully utilize and develop the AI and software technologies that ExaWizards has cultivated in the development of medical software called programmed medical devices (SaMD). As the first of the new products, we have developed software for dementia diagnosis that can be used from smartphones, and we plan to develop and provide several more products in the future.


What is SaMD?
SaMD stands for "Software as a Medical Device," and refers to software that is recognized as a medical device without the need to be embedded in hardware. Examples of applications include software that uses smartphone applications to measure heart rate and diagnose illness using image recognition technology, as well as other applications such as disease diagnosis support and health care self-management.

■Background of Establishment of New Company
As medium- and long-term trends in the medical field include increasing social security costs, diversifying health and medical needs, and widening regional disparities in medical services, there are high expectations for social implementation of digital technologies and services that utilize AI to fundamentally solve these social issues, not only in the medical field but also across industry boundaries. In this context, we are working on the development of new services that will be implemented in the medical field and in the social sector.
Against this backdrop, we have been developing our own multimodal AI technologies, strategically acquiring intellectual property, and conducting joint research and clinical research with academia to develop programmed medical devices (SaMD) in the health and medical fields, such as dementia, frailty and locomotive syndrome caused by aging, and the decline in physical strength and motor function due to aging. We have nurtured diverse business assets and seeds through joint research and clinical studies, and joint planning and development projects with several major pharmaceutical companies.

In order to respond to these social demands, we intend to create a unique set of products and services and promote cross-industry social implementation in the future. At the same time, we will further strengthen our compliance with related laws and regulations, quality control, data management, and other aspects of our business related to health and medical themes in order to solve the social issues we aim to address.

■Business Description
This position is mainly responsible for back-end development of medical software, especially infrastructure construction.
The following are examples of products planned or under development.
You will be broadly involved in the development of not only our own products but also collaborative products.

Gait function evaluation software

Common infrastructure for medical software (SaaS/API group)
etc.

Developing an application with Showa University that enables clinical-level diagnosis and early detection of dementia based on a few minutes of spoken dialogue.
Developing a patented system with Osaka University that analyzes and evaluates medical tasks and light exercise
Gait function evaluation software
Developing and providing an application that "quantifies the risk of falling" based on video analysis and "quantifies the risk of accidental pneumonia" based on voice analysis
Postural condition evaluation software, etc.

Detailed Work
We are entrusted with the following tasks related to the development of medical software.

Compliance with 3 ministries and 2 guidelines, QMS
(study prototypes to improve architecture/operations to ensure quality and compliance with laws and regulations related to pharmaceutical equipment and medical information with minimal effort)

Front-end and mobile app development and operation upon request

Required Skills and Experiences

【Required】 Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (i.e. GCP, AWS, Azure, etc...)
