Department: Strategy Division, Advanced Planning Department, New Technology Development G

The purpose of the Advanced Planning Department is to test cutting-edge technologies before anyone else in the company and provide customers with next-generation experiences.
Through projects in the mobility and smart city fields, which will become the infrastructure for future lifestyles, the organization is committed to exploring new technologies, solving social issues, and launching new businesses.

As a Software Engineer in Advanced Development, you will gain extensive development experience as a software engineer working on new mobility-related services and R&D.
You will be expected to work within an Agile/Scrum team.
In the team, you will be involved in the specification of customer requirements and software specifications, design, programming, DevOps, etc., and will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members and be actively involved in the success of the project.

You will also participate in the creation of new value for the company through activities such as proposing R&D themes and presenting ideas.

【Responsibilities】
・Prototyping, requirement definition, implementation, verification, and evaluation for new service realization or research and development
・In an onsite environment where new technologies are constantly being introduced, take advantage of your technical knowledge and experience to learn and acquire new technologies and methods autonomously and proactively.
・Proactively communicate within the team and independently solve problems and propose ideas

Required Skills and Experiences

[ Required Skills ] ・At least 3 years of professional experience in software development projects. ・Experience leading at least two software development projects from basic design to launch, each lasting 3 months or longer. ・Broad foundational knowledge in programming, OS, networks, databases, CI/CD, and cloud environments. ・The ability to read and understand technical documentation in English, with a strong willingness to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies. ・Japanese language proficiency at or above N2 level. [ Preferred Skills ] ・Experience in IoT device development, particularly with involvement in hardware selection. ・Strong English communication skills, sufficient for technical conversations about software engineering. ・Experience with development using generative AI (especially ChatGPT API and other generative AI services). ・Experience with data analysis and data cleansing. ・Experience with general internet security and vulnerability countermeasures. [ About Working in the New Technology Development Division ] ・The division secures a stable and continuous environment for research and development by handling a portion of development projects from group companies. ・Employees can validate various products using cutting-edge technologies as part of the new business planning process. ・The division promotes a flexible work style that prioritizes work-life balance (remote work rate of 80% or more).
